Beyond Skin delivers many projects across N. Ireland including our two flagship programs, The Motion Project (Northern Ireland's largest multi-cultural music collective) and Homely Planet: Internet Cultural Radio.

In 2008 Beyond Skin set out to use music as a tool to link global development issues to race relations in a schools programme funded by the Department for International Development (DFID). The programme was very successful and due to Beyond Skin's growing global network (thanks to Homely Planet radio) we have developed a Global Development Education initiative. This involves a schools' radio and music project funded by DFID, global exchange projects and various global campaign projects (such as Sudan365).

In 2009 Beyond Skin became the first organisation in Ireland to become members of UNOY (United Network of Young Peacebuilders). Beyond Skin aims to develop exchange projects with other global members of UNOY, as well as with youth groups in Northern Ireland using the music, arts and media.

This website is a central source for all Beyond Skin global initiatives and contains links to other agencies within the Global Development Education/Aid sector.
